Mission Majnu Movie Review: This is no Shershaah, but Sidharth, Rashmika's mission to entertain is a success

"Mission Majnu" is the latest Bollywood release starring Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna. The movie, directed by Shantanu Bagchi, is set in the 1970s and is based on a true story of a covert operation by India's intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), to extract a Pakistani scientist who had defected to India.

The movie starts off slow, with a bit of a dull and confusing plot, but it picks up as the story progresses. Sidharth Malhotra plays the role of a RAW agent, who is tasked with leading the mission to bring back the defected scientist. He delivers a strong performance, and it is clear that he has put in a lot of effort to get into the character. Rashmika Mandanna, who plays the love interest of the lead character, is also quite good in her role, and the chemistry between the two actors is quite believable.

The film's overall production is good, with the 1970s era being well-recreated. The cinematography is also quite good, capturing the different locations in a visually pleasing manner. The background score is also noteworthy, adding to the tension and suspense of the story.

However, "Mission Majnu" is not without its flaws. The pacing of the film is slow, and there are a few scenes that could have been edited out to make the movie more engaging. The script also feels a bit convoluted at times, making it difficult to follow the story.

In conclusion, "Mission Majnu" is not a perfect film, but it is an entertaining one. Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna's performances are commendable, and the movie is worth watching for their chemistry alone. If you are a fan of espionage thrillers, then this is a movie that you should check out. Though it is not comparable to the recent spy-thriller blockbuster Shershaah but the mission to entertain is a success
